中文摘要:语言与文化密切相关,语言作为文化的一部分,对其附加某种文化内涵。外语学习实际上是一种文化学习,而文化在英语教学中也发挥着很重要的作用。因此,外语教学不仅是培养听说读写等基本技能,更重要的是进行文化教学,文化教学的实施能够让学生目标语言的文化背景、增强学生的跨文化意识,也能够让学生更好地掌握和使用英语,同时也能够让学生意识到英语学习实际上也是一种文化的学习。
外语教学的最终目的是培养学生的跨文化交际能力。因此,让学生了解更多的语言文化背景知识、培养学生的跨文化意识十分重要。然而,跨文化教育在小学英语教学中往往被忽视。
我们都知道,小学阶段对学生进行有效的文化渗透,能够为日后的进一步语言学习打基础。小学阶段的文化意识培养是进行文化熏陶的启蒙阶段也是尤为重要阶段。因此,教师应丰富英语课堂形式与内容,开展相应的教学活动,让学生在接受语言知识的同时丰富语言的文化内涵,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,实现英语教学的最终目的。
