中文摘要:双语教学的模式和理念在我国英语教育界应该说充其量还是一个新生儿,作为一种教学模式,首先是由一些境外来华办学的学校引进的。双语教学一开始是某些学校,特别是一些幼儿园,中小学为吸引生源,提高办学效益的权宜之计。在当时许多教育者眼里,“双语教学”不过是“强化外语”或者说是强化“汉语”和“英语”的代名词。然而随着经济全球化和教育国际化进程的加快,也随着人们思想观念的转变,越来越多的学生选择出国留学深造,从中小学开始就形成了外语学习热。人们越来越重视口语,很多家长都提出老师上课要说英语。仅时隔一年,教育主管部门对双语教学的态度已经从“冷处理”转为大力支持和提倡。领导发话,“双语教学怎么试验也不为过”。如果说去年此时双语教学还仅仅是处于方兴未艾的话,如今却已是如火如荼,轰轰烈烈。双语教学成了中国外语教学改革中的一道亮丽的风景线。英语新课程标准也提倡在英语课堂上使用双语教学。但是否适合小学生呢?在这一过程的开展中,小学英语课堂该如何去取得一个平衡点?2000年完成修订的英语新课程标准给传统的教育模式推出很多创新理念。本文主要从双语教学的概念出发,浅析在小学英语课堂中实行双语教学的利与弊,并且分析出现这些利与弊的原因,提出相应的解决办法。
