Abstract:This article investigates and analyzes the status quo of English education in rural primary schools by taking a case study of Shimawa Primary School in Hengshan District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. The study used a questionnaire survey to find that while the English education in rural primary schools was making some progress, there were also some deficiencies. These deficiencies are manifested Poor English foundation for students and lack of motivation; Teachers’ lack of care for students and vocational skills; Teachers’ lack of care for students and vocational skills; Parents’ lack of English knowledge and patience for students. Aiming at the above situation of English teaching in rural primary schools, put forward improvement measures to provide basis and reference for the development of English teaching

摘要:本文通过以陕西省榆林市横山区石马洼小学为研究个案对农村小学英语教育现状进行调查分析。研究采用了问卷调查法析发现农村小学英语教育在取得一定进步的同时,也存在一些不足。这些不足表现为学生的英语基础差,缺乏学习动力;老师对学生的关爱太少,以及缺乏职业技能;父母的英语知识匮乏,对学生缺乏耐心。针对以上农村小学英语教学情况提出改进措施,为农村小学英语教学发展提供依据以及参考。
