Abstract:The probe into the application of conversion in translation practice constitutes by the necessity, principles and strategies of conversion of parts of speech and it mainly takes the version of Vanity Fair which translated by Yang Bi as examples. The author puts forward several pieces of advice to avoid rigid translation, such as, translators should take cultural factors into consideration, should base on the principle of loyalty when translating, and should make full use of existing literature information.
