Abstract:With the increasingly deteriorating on global ecosystem, the deeply thinking about nature, society, human’s survival and development which implicates in Jack London’s novels has aroused people’s attention. This thesis uses his novel, White Fang, as the example to analyze the text with the research method of Eco-criticism theory. Combining with London’s own life experience, this paper aims at interpreting the relationship between man and nature, proclaiming London’s critique on the industrial civilization and his introspection of human beings’ actual existent situation, revealing the fantasy land which human beings reverence for life and possess the quality of universal love to treat all the creatures charitably and justly that he constructed in the novel.
So this thesis may contribute to arouse people’s consciousness to protect the environment and have the enlightening significance for the construction of modern society and people’s development.
