Abstract
It is widely acknowledged that the Forgetting Curve was discovered by German psychologist Ebbinghaus, which vividly described the forgetting rules that humans’ brains had to new things.
According to the vivid description of the curve, humans are able to master the forgetting rules and make full use of them to help consolidate their old knowledge. Therefore their memory ability can be improved. English learning is extremely complex and rich in contents, which requires a good memory. As a consequence, to learn English well,
Students must develop strong memory ability. It concerns many teachers as to how to make use of the Forgetting Curve to help students, especially primary school students to memorize and master English more efficiently and accurately.
