Abstract
As the world's most widely used language, English plays a pivotal role in global political, economic and cultural exchanges. With the continuous development of economic globalization, exchanges and cooperation more and more in-depth, as the role of the bridge between different languages- English is used more and more wide, the social impact is more and more profound. In this information age, many countries regard English education as an important part of civic quality education, English will become a major obstacle to our progress and development of life a stumbling block. Therefore, flexibly use English has become one of the basic requirements of citizens to better adapt to the rapid development of the times and society
In our country, oral teaching plays an important role in the basic English teaching of primary and middle schools. Due to the influence of traditional English teaching mode and many other factors, there are many problems in the process of basic oral English teaching, especially in rural areas.
In the course of the research, the author analyzes and classifies the data through the questionnaire survey and interview of some English teachers and students in rural primary schools in Dongchangfu District, and find the restrictive factors in terms of oral English teaching in rural primary and secondary schools in three aspects: First, teachers: concept of English teaching and teaching methods. Second, schools: resources supply and investment. Third, students: their own personality and environmental limitations and put forward different measures for the different problems, so as to help students improve their spoken English, get rid of dumb English as soon as possible.
