Abstract
With the deepening of China's reform and opening up and the continuous expansion of foreign exchanges, socialization of information and economic globalization, English is considered as an important tool for China's external development and exchanges. Listening training is one of the main contents of primary school English teaching. Listening is often one of the most difficult and weak skills of primary school students in English learning, because students do not have enough language to learn as their native language. This paper explores the present situation of listening teaching in primary school English from the aspects of the importance of listening teaching in primary school English, the factors that affect the listening effect of primary school students, and the teaching methods and strategies adopted by teachers to guide classroom teaching.
