Abstract
As the unity of sound, shape and meaning, vocabulary plays an important role in linguistic communication and has always been the basic content and the main areas of language research. Vocabulary learning is the core of and is indispensable to language learning. Learning and recording vocabulary is the biggest obstacle for students to learn English in primary school. During the process of vocabulary learning, if appropriate learning strategies are properly used, students can improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning. This dissertation will mainly use questionnaire survey method, data analysis and classroom observation. First, this dissertation observes and analyzes the methods and strategies students use for learning and recording English vocabulary, and teachers use during the vocabulary teaching. Then finds the problems that exist in these strategies and presents some facts that can effectively improve the learning and recording of English vocabulary during my internship.
