Abstract
With the globalization of economy and life, the importance of English is becoming more and more prominent. For primary school English teachers, it is of great significance to explore various teaching methods. The fundamental starting point of primary school English teaching method is to understand and master the meaning of language by introducing or creating various social situations so as to achieve the purpose of using language in communication. Therefore, the creating of language environment is very important. Situational teaching method conforms to the law of language development and development of children's psychology, which is helpful to the goal of education. Trough creating situation, it can stimulate students' interest in learning English and improve learning efficiency. Based on the research theory of second language acquisition, this paper analyzes the present situation and existing problems of situational teaching in primary school English teaching, and puts forward the application strategies of situational teaching method in English class.
