Abstract
This paper presents a detailed analysis about the application of cooperative learning in primary school English teaching. It starts with the introduction of the definition and principles of cooperative learning. Then, the author discusses the application of the cooperative learning in the cultivation of students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Later the author lists out the significance and problems of cooperative learning. Last but not least, the author give a conclusion relies intensively on the practical effect in class. The author is going to adopt the literature researching method and carries a study over the application of the cooperative learning in primary school English teaching, aiming to help the readers to build up deeper understandings over not only cooperative learning but also primary school English teaching.
