Abstract: The implementation of New Curriculum Standard requires that English teachers should speak English as much as possible in class. However, with the limitation of the students’ vocabulary in middle school, teachers have to simplify their teaching language with the help of body language. According to the modern teaching theory, and some related theories of pedagogy and psychology, this paper analyzes the classification and functions of body language in English class, and proposes the principles of the proper use of body language. This thesis aims to help the teacher optimize the English course design and improve the English teaching effect.

摘要:《新课标》的实施要求教师更多地进行全英授课。然而,由于中学生词汇量的缺乏,教师需要借助身势语来简化英语课堂教学语言。本文以现代教学理论,教育学,心理学等相关理论为指导,通过对身势语类别及其在英语教学中的功能的分析,提出了在英语课堂上正确使用身势语的原则,旨在帮助教师优化英语课程设计,提高英语教学质量。
