Abstract: The New National English Curriculum Standard considers promoting the students’ reading comprehension as one of the most important goals in teaching English. Task-Based Language Teaching advocates that the students should master the language by using it to communicate in the classroom, while still learning grammar and building up their vocabulary. The paper analyzes the effectiveness of the application of Task-Based Language Teaching in reading teaching through classroom observation under the guidance of Task-Based Language Teaching theories. The results show that Task-Based Language Teaching is effective and that students’ reading level can be increased by designing different and proper tasks.

摘要:英语教学大纲把培养学生的阅读能力作为目标之一,任务型教学提倡‘做中学’来使学生在学习语法和词汇的同时通过使用语言来掌握目标语。本文在任务型教学的理论的指导下通过课堂观察,分析了任务型教学在阅读教学中使用的有效性。观察结果表明了任务型阅读教学的优势,学生能通过设计各种相关的任务提高阅读理解能力。
