Abstract: With the acceleration of globalization, more and more cross-cultural communication occurs. English is used more and more widely. Therefore English learners are required to master the English speaking and writing skills, especially listening skills. However, improving listening skills is difficult for Chinese students in English learning. Nowadays, how to improve English listening skills has become a generally concern of English learners. This paper will analyze this problem from two aspects which include theoretical basis and factors influencing on students’ listening comprehension, then puts forward the countermeasure to these obstacles. With these strategies, learners can enhance their listening ability, improve English level and promote the communicative ability more effectively.
