Abstract：Language is vocal. It is a tool for human beings to communicate. Clear and understandable pronunciation is a prerequisite for successful communication. As pronunciation is the necessary road to English study, a learner must master the pronunciation of a foreign language before exploring into it. Mastering the pronunciation is not only the basis for a language, but also the key to improve the learners’ comprehensive linguistic abilities. English pronunciation plays a pivotal role in English study. Clear and correct pronunciation improves the learner’s English ability. However，the problems of English pronunciation to a great extent obstruct the development of learners’ spoken English and their English comprehensive abilities.
Based on the questionnaire and the results of a pronunciation test, this thesis analyzes the problems existing in the pronunciation study of first-year English majors and the causes of it. It puts forward some solutions to improve students’ pronunciation proficiency as well.

摘要：语言是有声的，是人类交流的工具，清晰易懂的语言则是人们进行顺利交流的基础。因为语音是英语学习的必经之路，所以必须先掌握语音。语音不仅是掌握语言的基础，还是提高学习者语言综合水平的关键。正确、清晰的语音有利于学习者英语水平的提高。然而英语语音中存在的问题不仅有碍于英语口头交际能力的发展，而且极大程度地阻碍学习者英语综合能力的提高。
本文根据英语专业新生的问卷调查和语音测试的结果，对英语专业一年级学生语音学习中普遍存在的问题及成因进行了分析，并提出相关的学习对策，提高学生的语音能力。
