Abstract: Vocabulary is the key of language learning. Vocabulary teaching was neglected in the area of language teaching, but now it has been paid more and more attention. Through questionnaires, this survey investigates and analyzes the normal categories of vocabulary memory strategies used by college students and the differences between the strategies used by male and female students. The author would like to offer the college students some suggestions to solve the problem of wasting time, low efficiency and forgetting rapidly in vocabulary learning. Thus, they can build their interest in English learning.
