Abstract:From the perspective of the importance of metacognitive strategies, this paper briefly discusses the role of metacognitive strategies theory in College Students' English Reading on the results of relevant learning strategies at home and abroad. Firstly, the paper briefly describes the English reading comprehension and metacognitive strategies. Secondly, the writer introduces three strategies of metacognitive strategies. Lastly, it takes one example to discuss the application of meta-cognitive Strategy in the English Reading Comprehension to help learners to improve their reading efficiency.
