Abstract:With the development of the Internet, a combination of English teaching and network has become a major trend in teaching reform. Nowadays, computer-based online training of college English writing has been widely used by teachers in their teaching practice and it gives full play to its advantages. The development of online English writing is closely related to the development of automated evaluation system. Since the appearance of automated evaluation system, it has aroused a lot of experts and scholars' many doubts. Domestic automatic evaluation system has just been started and mainly focuses on introduction and discussion, which lags behind foreign research. Domestic empirical investigation of the application of automated evaluation system in teaching is slightly inadequate. This essay reviews and analyzes the applied research of domestic and foreign automatic evaluation system of English writing and aims to explore, with a combination of quantitative and qualitative approach, the learners' views, attitudes and demands from the perspective of students. Such investigation would lay the foundation for the future reform of English writing teaching and further research in the literature.
