ABSTRACT:On the basis of the related theories in pedagogy, psychology and SLA, this paper adopts questionnaire investigation to carry on a practical research in the present situations of classroom interaction, especially teacher-student interaction in English classroom of JMS in minority area. And then it analyzes and reflects the current problems in English teaching of this area, bringing forward many strategies to deepen teacher-student interaction, and initiating the meaning of study on a new style of teacher-student interaction.

摘要:本文以教育学,心理学和第二语言习得理论中的相关理论为基础,采用问卷调查的研究方法,对少数民族地区初中英语课堂教学中师生互动的现状展开了调查。根据调查结果,对本地区英语教学中呈现出的问题进行了分析和反思,并提出了一些加强课堂教学中师生互动和交流的策略,倡导新型的师生互动观。

First of all, this study has been carried out in a rural Middle School, which is located in southwest minority of China, where most English teachers in this school haven’t received college education, who cannot express themselves comprehensively, therefore, their responses to the research are not very reasonable and scientific. Secondly, the subjects are just from one school that is less representative. Finally, there are some limitations on the usage of the research methodologies and the result of analysis because the author has no very good command of the applied linguistic researches.
Through analyzing, it is seen that the ways of teacher-student interactions are tedious in this area; the frequency is low and the distribution of questioning is limited in area; the questions are difficult or easy; waiting time after questioning is too short; there is almost no chance for the students’ questioning; teachers cannot give a proper feedback from teachers. Because all of these have impacted the effects of questioning in JMS English class, as a result, it is not good to the achievement of target language in English classroom.
