Abstract: English grammar teaching is part of English teaching in high schools. The ultimate goal of foreign language teaching is to cultivate and enhance students' communicative competence. Examining our teaching and learning reality in the light of this goal, I find that we still have a long way to go. In fact, there exist some problems in English language teaching in China, particularly in English grammar teaching. At present, high school students commonly feel English grammar hard to learn. They are fed up with the cramming method of teaching grammar, with which they cannot have a strong memory. As a result, they've learned many inflexible grammar rules and their ability to use them comprehensively is very weak. Therefore, we must emphasis on fostering students' ability to utilize the English language comprehensively. Therefore, it is the priority to find appropriate teaching methods to teach English grammar. This paper focuses on nurturing the students to master English, improving the students’ competence to use English. To achieve this goal, the English grammar teaching will transform form deductive method to inductive method.

摘要:英语语法教学是高中英语教学中不可缺少的一个组成部分。外语教学的最终目的是培养和提高学生的语言交际能力。我国的英语教学现状与教学目标之间还存在相当大的差距,特别是在英语语法教学中还存在许多问题。目前高中学生普遍感到英语语法难学,老师满堂灌的语法教学使学生感到乏味,并且记忆不牢。结果导致很多学生死的语法知识学了不少,可是综合运用语言的能力却极度低下。因此,我们要强调对学生综合语言运用能力培养。所以当前我们要找到有效的语法教学途径。本论文着重于讨论为了实现培养目标,提高学生实际的语言应用能力,归纳语法教学时新,语法教学从演绎走向归纳。
