Abstract

The concept of “role” in English teaching refers to the functions of the teacher and student in English teaching. Some teachers think that they must establish the absolute authority in front of students, even in the process of teaching they depend on "whether the students listen to the teacher's words" to establish the evaluation system, which will make students and teachers lack the necessary communication and exchange. The lag of the relationship between teachers and students restricts the implementation and development of the new curriculum.
