Abstract: With the development and maturity of English teaching over the past few decades,the pedagogy has undergone great changes. A number of different approaches have been developed to promote more effective teaching. The present thesis analyzes the middle school English teaching in China. It first reveals the dominant use of the Grammar-translation method in the past and points out its disadvantages. The thesis then analyzes the improvement of middle school English teaching in recent years and proposes the feasibility and necessity to integrate multiple teaching methods in middle school English class.

摘要:随着英语教学在过去几十年的发展和日渐成熟,英语教学法经历了一系列演变,学者们提出了各种不同的教学法以促进更有效的教学。论文分析了中国的中学英语教学。论文揭示了语法翻译法在过去的主导地位并指出其不足之处,分析了近年来中学英语教学的改进之处,并指出了在中学英语教学过程中结合使用多种教学方法的可行性和必要性。
