Abstract: Task-based language teaching is a new kind of teaching model. It emphasizes learning by doing and students’ acquisition of the language in the process of accomplishing the task. This thesis firstly probes into some disadvantages of traditional teaching models in middle school English teaching and then introduces the theories and principles of task-based teaching model. And on the basis of the theories and principles, the author explains how to make use of task-based teaching model in middle school English instruction. At last, the author points out some problems teachers might come across in the implementation of TBLT and gives some advice to solve these problems.

摘要：任务型教学是一种新型的教学模式，着重强调在做中学，学生在完成任务的过程中习得语言。本文阐述了传统教学模式在中学英语教学中的不足之处，及任务型教学的理论原则，并在此基础上探讨了如何在中学英语教学中运用任务型教学模式。最后作者指出了在实施任务教学模式时可能会遇到的问题，并给出了一些解决的建议。
