ABSTRACT:In order to understand the use of the rural middle school students’ English learning strategies, the author uses questionnaire survey to investigate what kinds of language learning strategies are used by rural middle school students, and the frequency of their use of English learning strategies. The subjects are 100 third-year students from No.10 middle school, Shi Zong, Yunnan province. By the English learning strategies questionnaire, author focuses on the following questions: 1. How do the rural middle school students use the English learning strategies? 2. What are the English learning strategies used most frequently by the rural middle school students? 3. What's the difference about the use of English learning strategies between the high-scoring students and the low-scoring students? Analysis of the date indicates the following findings: some students incline to use some basic learning strategies. Among them, some students use cognitive strategies and resource strategies most frequently, while control strategies less and communication strategies the least. And the frequency of the use of English learning strategies by the high-scoring group students is higher than the low-scoring group students. In view of the results, author makes an analysis of the current situation of students’ English learning strategies and the reasons of the existing problems. At the same time, author gives some appropriate teaching suggestions by those problems.

摘 要:为了了解农村中学生使用学习策略的情况,本文以云南省师宗县第十中学初三年级的100名学生为调查样本,通过他们的英语学习策略调查问卷,着重讨论以下几个问题:1.农村中学生是如何运用英语学习策略的?2.农村中学生使用频率较高的英语学习策略是哪些?3.学优生和学困生在英语学习策略运用上有无明显差异?结果表明:学生大部分倾向于使用一些简单基本的学习策略。其中,认知策略和资源策略使用较为频繁,而调控策略和交际策略的使用偏低。而且学优生和学困生在英语学习策略的运用上有明显差异。鉴于以上结果分析了学生目前的英语学习策略状况及其形成目前策略状况的原因,同时依据这些原因作者给出一些适当的教学建议。
