Abstract:Test cohesion and coherence has always been a core standard in high school writing. Why we have to focus on these, because it is the basic condition to compose a passage. In this study, we emphasize on the text cohesion theory. There are many researches on cohesion at home and abroad. British linguists halliday (M.A.K.H alliday) in 1962, first proposed "cohesion” this concept. This paper is mainly discussed from the composition、concept and general categoried of cohesion to analyze the mistakes from students’ writing.
How will the cohesion theory be applied to practical middle school English writing is very difficult. Writings are collected from two classes at random. The author required them to write a passage about “friendship” within 150 words. At the same time, the author analyzes their mistakes in three types of reference. Therefore, this paper aims to help students to solve the problem of text cohesion in the process of writing.

摘 要:在中学生作文的评分标准中,总会把衔接和连贯作为核心标准来要求。之所以如此强调衔接和连贯,是因为这是构成语篇的最基本的条件。国内外对语篇衔接的研究很多,受我国语法学家王力等“承上说”的启示,英国语言学家韩礼德(M.A.K.Halliday)于1962年也首次提出“衔接”(cohesion)这一概念。本文将从作文语篇的角度,对衔接的概念、功能以及主要分类进行讨论。
如何将语篇衔接的理论应用到实际的中学英语写作中去,是一个非常关键且较难的事情。本文通过引用英语写作的教学实验例子,随机抽取2个班的同学,要求他们写一篇关于“友谊”不多于150字文章。与此同时,分析学生在三种衔接分类的错误。因此,此文旨在帮助中学生在写作过程中,解决其遇到的关于语篇等方面的问题,运用衔接手段的分析帮助我们对篇章语义的透彻理解和掌握,使其进一步提高英文写作能力。
