Abstract: Reading ability is one of the important abilities in English learning, and modern reading theories hold the idea that reading process is a psychological process of language activity. However, the current teaching situation is unpromising. The teaching that is teachers-central is prevailing and students are in the passive situation in the process of reading comprehension, to a large extent, which leads to students’ low-level of reading grades. Therefore, it is important for people to apply the modern reading theories to direct the abuse of traditional reading models and to improve the quality of teaching. According to the analyses of traditional reading models of both “bottom-up” and “top-down” , this article expounds the characteristic of interactive reading models which can enable students to remember the model they already have. Some enlightenments and suggestions are made to help and at the same time, to aim at improving students’ English reading level in senior high schools.

摘要:阅读能力是英语学习中最重要的能力之一,现代阅读理论认为阅读过程是个复杂的心理语言活动过程。然而,目前高中英语阅读教学环节的现状还不容乐观。在阅读过程中,以教师为中心的教学使得学生总处于被动地位,从而较大程度导致了学生低水平的阅读理解能力。为此,克服传统阅读教学的弊端,提高教学质量,并运用现代阅读理论的指导显得尤为重要。本文通过对“自下而上”、“自上而下”的传统英语阅读教学模式的分析,阐述了“交互式”阅读模式能够激发学生头脑中已有模式的特点,从而得出一些有助于提高高中生英语阅读水平的启示,并且提出了一些改进对策,旨对高中生的英语阅读水平的提高有所帮助。
