Abstract:Evaluation is one of important and indispensable elements in the whole teaching and learning process. This paper is about the implementation of the formative evaluation in No.5 Middle School of Tengchong, and the subjects were the second-year junior students in this school. Connecting with the current practical situation of English teaching in this school, we used questionnaires and observation to carry out the research. The study found that, in this school’s English teaching, the implementation of formative assessment can cultivate and inspire the students’ motivation to learn English. The research results can provide a reference to the middle school teachers’ English teaching.

摘要:教学评价是教学活动的一个重要组成部分,本文研究形成性评价在初中英语教学中的应用。研究以腾冲县第五中学初二年级学生作为实验对象,紧密结合中学英语教学实际,采用问卷调查法和观察法进行研究。研究发现,在初中英语教学中,形成性评价的应用能激发学习者英语学习的动机,唤起学习者英语学习的兴趣。本研究结果对英语教师的教学实践有一定的借鉴意义。
