Abstract:This thesis offers a brief analysis of the importance of applying games in English teaching in junior school. By introducing the functions of games in the ‘Five-Step’ teaching method, this thesis illustrates the question of how to apply games to help students in English learning, and also discusses how teachers can use games to stimulate students’ interest according to their psychological features and according to different teaching contents. The ultimate goal is of course to find ways to improve teaching efficiency.

中文摘要:本文阐述了游戏教学法在初中英语课堂中的重要性,通过介绍游戏在五步教学法中的应用,浅析了英语教师应如何根据不同的教学内容和初中学生的心理特点采取不同的游戏教学来激发他们学习英语的兴趣,最终以达到提高教学质量的目的。
