Abstract:This paper aims to explore how to apply lexical chunks to English vocabulary teaching in junior middle school. Based on the problems existing in English vocabulary teaching, the author reports a detailed study on the theoretical foundations of lexical chunks, analyzes the advantages of lexical chunks and introduces the application of lexical chunks to English vocabulary teaching in junior middle school. Results of the study prove that lexical chunks can not only improve students’ fluency, but also enhance their appropriateness in English communication. The author expects the research may provide a new prospect for vocabulary teaching and learning, thus improving students’ confidence and efficiency in learning vocabulary.

摘要:本文旨在研究如何将词块理论运用到初中英语词汇教学中去。基于当今英语词汇教学中存在的问题,作者解释了词块教学的理论基础,分析了词块教学具有的优势,并详细介绍了词块教学法在初中英语词汇教学中的运用。研究表明词块教学法不仅能提高学生的流利性,而且也能促进他们英语的地道性。作者期望该研究能为词汇教学提供一种新的思路,从而提高学生学习词汇的积极性和有效性。
