Abstract: Teachers’ instructions, as one of the vital parts of teacher talk, play an important part in connecting the exchanges in the teaching steps. With more and more advocacy on task-based teaching methods in ELT classrooms, effective instructions are believed to affect students’ task comprehension and performance. The functions of instructions include organizing teaching activities, controlling students' classroom behaviors, and providing language teachers with a good perspective for the study of second language. In this thesis, under the guidance of Comprehensible input, Speech Act Theory, Face Theory, and through classroom observation and questionnaires, the author intends to analyze the functions and characteristics of teachers’ instructions in the ELT Classrooms to improve the teaching effect.

摘要:教师指令语,作为教师用语非常重要的部分,是教学流程中联系师生交流的纽带。随着任务型教学在中国英语课堂的广泛应用,教师的课堂指令语直接关系到课堂教学效果。指令语的功能有组织教学活动,控制学生课堂行为以及提供研究第二语言习得的良好视角。本文在可理解性输入、言语行为等理论的指导下,通过课堂观察、问卷调查等方法,试图分析课堂指令语的功能和特征,进而探寻有效的运用教师指令语的途径。
