Abstract
Group cooperative learning has been widely used in English class at junior high school level. Many experts and scholars think highly of this new method, but during the internship in Hangzhou No.15 Middle School, the author has found its practical application is not that satisfactory. This thesis studies the present situation of group cooperative learning in junior English teaching through questionnaires for students and teachers. It can be seen from the results that although group cooperative learning is carried out, it has many problems. Besides, this thesis tries to seek some solutions by interviewing teachers to the better use of group cooperative learning, thus benefiting students ultimately.
