Abstract
Language is an important tool for communication. Intercommunication barriers exert bad impacts on learners’ future study and effectiveness of spoken English teaching.
The paper adopts questionnaire and observation method. The investigation results reveal that 45% students can’t satisfy the third requirement of the New Curriculum Standards, and lack of self-confidence and standard pronunciation and intonation are the main obstacles of intercommunication.
In the end, the paper combines the analysis of some particular students with the true tutorial experience and draws a conclusion on the positive correlation of teachers’ encouragements for students.
