Abstract: Since the Situational Language Teaching theory was raised, educators applied the theory in different subjects’ classroom teaching, but it still needs to adapt to domestic English classroom teaching. The paper takes students in a high school in Nanjing as its object, using questionnaire as a research tool to investigate and collect data about the application status of Situational Language Teaching in high school classroom. To research the effect of Situational Language Teaching on classroom teaching; students’ participant and differences between students’ expectation and teachers’ organization. Based on the research and literature review, these teaching suggestions are then given, firstly, teachers should use the Situational Language Teaching selectively; secondly, strengthen interaction between teachers and students to optimize the effect of Situational Language Teaching.
