Abstract: There is no doubt that reading is very important in learning English because it can provide input for language learners. The scholars at home and abroad state that the application of TBLT in English reading is effective in increasing students’ interest in learning and promoting students’ reading ability. Although TBLT is promoted by scholars at home and abroad, which is adopted ineffectively and narrowly in China today.
