Abstract
Due to the rapid development of society, the demand for teachers is getting higher and higher, in-service teacher training has been paid more and more attention. But because China's education development is not balanced, therefore, different parts of the teachers should adopt different training methods.
This topic mainly through some junior middle school English teachers’ training needs in rural areas (Dazhu county, Sichuan) and put forward the training methods for the region. The problem try to solve in this paper is to find a suitable new model for the region of rural English teacher in-service training according to their needs. The approach adopt to solve the problem is questionnaire and interview. The subjects are English teachers from local junior high school, including county and township.
The results obtained in this research include the following three points. First of all, figure out the needs and requirements of the respondents. Secondly, arrange reasonable time and provide financial support. Finally, strengthen the interaction between teachers(trainers) and students(trainees). The impact of the obtained results has a certain guiding role to the whole western rural junior high school English teachers’ in-service training, even for "national cultivate" plan has some reference values., trainers can refer to the model in this article when trainees from these areas.
