Abstract
Middle school is the critical period of learning English. And the training of English listening has a very valuable effect on the English learning. Therefore, the learning and teaching of English listening are brought into sharp focus by middle school. To improve listening can not only be beneficial to the development of the skill of speaking, reading and writing, but also to the building of the solid foundation for daily communication. On the basis of literature review, this paper elaborates the issues and strategies of learning and teaching of English listening in middle school with the aim to inspire the English teaching practice in middle schools to some extent.
