Abstract
English writing is one of the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. In junior middle school’s English teaching, writing has always been ranked after the three language skills, namely, listening, speaking and reading. Therefore, Teaching English writing is always the most difficult part of English education. In fact, the capability of writing is one part of a person's synthetical language abilities. So English writing is becoming more and more significant.
This paper consists of introduction, text and conclusion, the text is divided into three sections. The first section is the literature review; it will have a review and comment on the research about language error analysis at home and abroad. The second section is the methodology adopted in error analysis; it will introduce the aims, subjects, methods, schedules and instruments of this investigation. And the findings and discussion about the junior middle school students’ English writing; it divides the grammatical errors into two types: the local errors and the global errors. The third section is analyzing the causes of grammatical errors made by junior middle school students in their English writing; it will analyze and discuss the reasons specifically. The part of conclusion will focus on the causes of junior middle school students’ errors in English writing and put forward the countermeasures in English grammar teaching.
