Abstract
The essence of translation is intercultural communication, whose ultimate goal is to promote cross cultural communication. Different cultural strategies in translation, to a large extent, determine the influence of the expression of cultural connotations. Domestication and foreignization are two important concepts and strategies in dealing with translation. From the cultural perspective, this paper makes a tentative study on foreignization and domestication, analyzes their advantages and limitations, and analyzes the factors that influence the choice of translation strategies.
