归化与异化视角下对《三国演义》“忠”,“义”的翻译研究_英语论文.doc

ABSTRACT: "Sanguoyanyi" is considered as one of the classics influencing Chinese people most profoundly. Not only now but in the past, it makes a profound and extensive influence on the social consciousness of Chinese; The work clearly advocates a kind of ideology and culture, "Zhong Yi". As cultural exchanges of all countries in the world increasingly are frequent, it, in order to realize this process, is mainly relying on the translation methods. But when it comes to translation, all translators can not be blind to an important problem, which is how to treat the strategies of "domestication" and "foreignization" in the translation process. The paper studies some examples of "Zhong", "Yi" translation from two versions of "Sanguoyanyi" translated by C. H. Brewitt-Taylo and Moss Roberts, and put forward some views on this problem. This article first gives a brief introduction on "domestication" and "foreignization" theory. With the importance and value of Chinese traditional culture as a research background, it analyzes the influence of Chinese traditional culture on the translation work; then discusses a lot on the practical corpus translation of "Zhong", "Yi" combining the two versions. Considering each aspect factor, the paper finally makes a conclusion that how to deal with the application of "Domestication" and "Foreignization" theory in translation on cultures.
