Abstract
The essay mainly studies the nationalism shown from the novel The Kite Runner, written by Afghanistan-American writer Khaled Hosseini. The war tensions in the Middle East area have great impact on the world peace. The tough life of people there also concerned people of all nations. After conducting a discreet analysis of this novel, this essay, taking Afghan for example, reveals that nationalism existing in this country is the main cause leading to the sufferings that people there have to endure. This paper defines the type of nationalism in the country Afghan in this novel. In addition, the development of nationalism and how it impacts Afghanistan and its people will be analyzed.
