Abstract
Translation is a bridge of communication in the process of interlingual communication. Culture is closely related to language, language is the bearer and expression of culture and it is also determined by culture. So, cultural differences have great influence on translation. This thesis is a study on influence of cultural factors on the English-Chinese translation. It analyzes the influence of cultural differences on translation from different aspects: historical and cultural, living environment, religious belief and value. Through exploring the cultural differences to get a better understanding of the impact of cultural differences on English-Chinese translation is more conducive to communication and promote cultural exchanges.
