Abstract
The Anti-Semitism is a kind of study of society, which mainly researches on the relationship of Judaism and other religions. The research focuses on discuss of the reasons of the anti-Semite, including history reason, social reason, personal reason and the influence of the anti-Semitism. It conforms to the theme of building a harmonious society. The research reminds me of the novel of well -known William Shakespeare’s the merchant of Venice.The theme of this novel is to extol kindness, friendship and love. This story is related to the Venice businessman Shylock and one pound flesh of Antonio. By describing the story between Shylock and Antonio, the novel reflects Shylock’s lamentable, despiteous and his difficult life. The study of the merchant of Venice will help us know better about the anti-Semitism in the literature.
