Abstract

This thesis is a study on factors affecting marriage in Pride and Prejudice. We will find out the factors in the article and influence on modern marriage by introducing and analyzing the marriage of five couples of pride and prejudice. Marriage is a significant part in a person’s life. No matter who you are, you all wish for a satisfied and beautiful marriage. However, sometimes, we have no right to choose a marriage due to the various pressure, social environment, survival and traditional ideas, background, personality and so on. In order to survive in the society, we may be reluctant to accept a marriage that we don’t want. Accordingly, the novel has showed us many realistic and rational factors that also affect our life. After analyzing them, we will figure out the truth and influence on modern marriage
