Abstract:Jane Eyre in the heroine Jane Eyre from childhood suffered misfortune, she in the ups and downs step by step growth, she although the appearance of ordinary, but is a self-esteem, self-improvement of the new woman. Jane Eyre is a dare to express and pursue love to the person you love. And the character of her lover, Rochester, to understand the two people’s view of love. In the Dream of Red Mansions, Lin Daiyu, as Miss Commoner, also has a revolt against the feudal society system, she yearns for free love, but eventually withered, Jia Baoyu’s character and in the society, he and Lin Daiyu’s love tragedy. There are significant differences in the concept of love between East and West culture, this paper is through a comparative analysis of Lin Daiyu and Jane Eyre’s Love concept, and explore the different life background and family environment, two very different love outcomes, but also a brief introduction to the differences between the East and West Love view.
