Abstract
Sula was written by the famous black female writer Tony Morrison.It was published in 1973.Sula is mainly about the oppression of black women and their experience of being humiliated.The paper mainly discusses the process of black females’ awakening and seeking emancipation.Therefore, from a feminist perspective, we can have a better understanding of the female characters in Sula.
