Abstract
Alice Walker wrote the critically acclaimed novel The Color Purple (1982) for which becomes her most influential work. It analyzes the black women’s oppression the bear and reveals the barriers of black women’s awakening and liberation. This essay will analyze how the black women seek feminism and the reason of their awakening.
