中文摘要：婚姻向来被奉为人生中的头等大事之一，无论在中国还是西方都受到人们的广泛重视。中西婚俗各具特色。总体上讲，中国传统婚礼热闹而喜庆，颜色以红色为主：而西方婚礼浪漫安静，颜色以白色为主。筹备婚礼时，中国礼节、规矩繁多，而西方则相对比较简单。中西婚礼在选择婚期、结婚礼服等方面都不尽相同。举行婚礼时，中式传统婚礼婚礼过程比较复杂，礼仪也比较繁琐，主要由迎亲、拜堂、宴请宾客、入洞房、试厨和回门六个步骤组成，绝大部分亲朋好友都会被邀请参加整个婚礼仪式，从开始到结束气氛都十分热闹。而西式婚礼过程则比较简单，主要由教堂仪誓、婚宴和度蜜月三个步骤组成，只有最亲近的亲戚和朋友才有资格参加教堂仪式，宣誓过程安静而浪漫，大部分亲朋好友都会被邀请参加婚宴，婚宴中还通常包含舞会。本文通过比较中西方婚俗的异同,主张大家正确看待中西方婚俗文化并促进其交流与融合。
