Abstract
Listening is one of the basic skills to knowledge acquisition. As for English study, the role of listening is of vital importance. In traditional teaching methods, high attention is paid by teachers to find out some efficient methods to improve students' listening ability, however, the result is less than satisfactory. Therefore, students find it is of great difficult to English listening. The purpose of this article is to cultivate the overall development of English learning as well as to stimulate the interest of study. It has great practical and theoretical significance for students to master this language well. This paper intends to analyze the cause of the problem of students' listening and put out that using memory strategy, cognitive strategy and affective strategy can enable students to enhance listening. Some specific methods of each strategy about how to put them into practice are demonstrated in this paper,students can acquire some of them to improve their listening.
