Abstract:The Code-Switching refers to the alternating use of two or more languages by bilingual or multilingual speakers within one conversational episode, either in the same conversational turn or in consecutive turns. In order to learn the teachers’ attitudes and the roles of Code-Switching in children’s English class, the author takes 3 English teachers as research subjects from Disney School. The research shows that: 1.the teachers ’Code-Switching in the English class is very common; 2. the rate of teachers’ Code-Switching takes 10% of the whole class; 3. most of the English teachers agree the Code-switching; 4. Code-Switching can attract the students’ attention to the class; 5. the teachers’ Code-Switching in the class is involuntarily. As we can see from the result, the Code-Switching can help the students understand the teaching contents better. The teachers should switch the class languages if necessary.

中文摘要:语码转换是指在同一个对话环境下,双语或多语的说话者发生的两种或更多语言之间的转换。为了了解少儿英语教师对语码转换所持的态度以及语码转换在英语课堂中的作用,本研究针对迪士尼英语培训学校的3位英语教师课堂语码转换情况进行了调查研究,调查结果显示:1教师的语码转换在课堂中比较普遍;2.教师的汉语使用率占了总课堂的10%;3.大多数老师对语码转换持一种肯定态度;4.语码转换对提高学生的注意力起到积极的作用;5.课堂上的语码转换有时是不自觉的。由此可知,英语课堂教学中的语码转换能帮助学生更好地理解教学内容,教师应根据课堂需求进行必要的语码转换。
