《外婆说她很抱歉》的作者是瑞典专栏作家弗雷德里•贝克曼，7岁女孩埃尔莎是小说的主要人物，77岁的外婆是她唯一的朋友。当有一天，外婆去世，留下一堆信，向她爱的人道歉，从此埃尔莎的大冒险开始了。这本小说揭示了关于生死的问题，歌颂了一个最重要的人权——不同的权利。
本次翻译实践选取《外婆说她很抱歉》第14-15章内容进行翻译，至今无人翻译过，对进行翻译实践来说是一个很好的尝试。由于该书语言偏口语化,且中西文化差异，所以通过翻译过程，可以更好的了解西方文化和语言表达习惯以及我们的中方文化和中文表达习惯，同时有机会实践了课堂所学的翻译理论。
此次翻译实践小论文首先将对翻译的章节内容进行概述，其次列举翻译过程中遇到的难点以及解决的方法，最后总结翻译感悟及心得。
INTRODUCTION
The novel My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry is written by Fredrik Backman who is a blogger and columnist in Sweden. A seven-year-old girl named Elsa is the leading character in the novel. Her grandmother is seventy seven years old and she is also Elsa’s best and only friend. One day, Elsa’s grandmother dies and leaves behind a bundle of letters to make an apology to people she loved. Elsa takes it her duty to post and deliver the letters and her greatest adventure begins. This novel is a story about life and death. It is also an ode to one of the most important human rights: the right to be different from others.
Chapter 14 and chapter 15 of the novel were chosen for my translation practice. Like the main language features in the whole book, the language expressions in these two chapters tend to be colloquial, which means they are simple, short, concise in and easy to understand, but relatively hard to find specific equivalents in Chinese. Thus, it makes this translation practice a good attempt to implement all the translation theories learned in class. Besides, this translation practice also enables me to get a better and deeper understanding of the Western culture and our Chinese culture as well.
In the essay on translation practice, it will outline the content of the translation section firstly. Secondly, it will list the difficulties encountered in translation and the solutions to them. Then make a summary on the the perception and experience of the translation.
